A native of Washington, D.C., Spearman was bitten by the acting bug at age seven when he discovered that the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz were actually people, and not real monkeys.

Spearman's television appearances include roles on Star Trek Voyager, Charmed, Girlfriends, The Hughleys, The Drew Carey Show, Gideon's Crossing and MAD TV. Spearman also co-starred with Jet Li and DMX in the feature film Cradle 2 The Grave. On stage, Spearman was in the world premiere of Howard Korder's drama "The Hollow Lands" at the Tony Award winning South Coast Rep. and his other productions include "Ice Pick", "The Men's Room," "The Bullpen Boys" and "A Few Good Men."

When not working in the entertainment industry, Spearman tries to give back to the African American community through his work with various HIV/AIDS related charities including his work with the African American AIDS Policy and Training Institute, where Spearman hopes to changes things for the better and help decrease the current HIV infection rates within the community.

A former theatre and telecommunications major at the acclaimed Indiana University, Spearman currently resides in Los Angeles with his dog, Amber.
