Dr. Vince is a pediatric emergency room doctor at UCLA Medical Center. He is used to intense pressure, a grueling pace, and emotionally harrowing encounters.
Forty years old and HIV-, the young, gay, and handsome Dr. Vince "roadied" in the Medical tent for last year's AIDS/Lifecycle 3. He was so moved by the goodwill and passion of the other riders that he decided to double his efforts this year by both volunteering as a doctor AND riding all 585 miles of AIDS/Lifecycle 4.
With an ambitious plan to work the medical tent in the morning, bike all day, then volunteer again until ten o'clock at night, Vince's time and energy is sure to be tapped.
Through Vince's eyes we learn about the current state of the war on AIDS... where we have been and where we must go to win it. But Vince is not all business...how many Doctors do you know who will throw on a red dress with flair and dance proudly in the street? A genuine hero, VINCE is the kind of man who couples his professional commitment with an indelible spirit.
