Nathan is a 44-Year-old heterosexual architect, married with an 8-year-old son and is also a tri-athlete and an avid cyclist.
Nathan believes he contracted HIV through a blood transfusion about 15 years ago but didn't even know until he took a blood test to get married 10 years ago. He did nothing about his status, unwilling even to talk to doctors about it, until 5-6 years ago when he became so sick he almost died. Outside of his wife and his doctor, he has never told anyone he is positive.
He currently sits on the planning commission of the Republican bastion, Tustin, CA. Nathan plans on running next year for City Council.
His secret has been eating away at him for 10 years and he is bursting at the seams with a need to "come out" as an HIV+ person. For Nathan, coming out as an HIV+ person is as difficult as any coming out story. This is Nathan's first time on The Ride.
