Through an Internet dating site, she meets Sandeep Virdi, a 31-year old closeted lesbian living with her family in the UK. Poppy and Sandeep forge a deep connection through online chats, text messages and phone calls hoping to overcome the obvious obstacles of Sandeep's conservative Sikh family, her hidden sexuality and the distance that lies between them.
