From East to West and all points in between, ANT captures the diversity of the LGBT community and the personal stories of small town gay America through the eyes of both the gay and straight residents. His journey across the country reaffirms that spirit and humor are alive and well in the gay heartland.

    Like the enterprising creature from which he takes his name, ANT has been steadily working the top of the country's comedy hill. The often flamboyant and irreverent writer and stand-up comic can currently be seen as the host of VH1's hit reality series Celebrity Fit Club, now in its fourth season. In addition, he has a new television series for the Logo Network entitled U.S. of ANT, where he travels across small town America in search of gay life. In this new series, ANT explores different LGBT communities in the United States and learns about rural and small town gay life from those who live it.

    Also on the small screen, ANT has appeared as a talent judge on VH1's But Can They Sing and the WB's Steve Harvey's Big Time. He has also been a seen on such shows as the Game Show Network's Funny Money with Heidi Fleiss and AJ Benza, A&E's Boomer Nation and on Comedy Central's hit Premium Blend. In addition, he served as co-host for the Big in '05 pre-show which received its highest rating ever. ANT is most recognized as the only comedian to appear on all three season's of NBC's smash hit Last Comic Standing.

    ANT regularly appears on such shows as the popular VH1 "I Love" series, including I Love the 70's and I Love the 80's. He was also recently a regular correspondent providing man-on-the-street bits for Dennis Miller's CNBC talk show. In past years, ANT was a frequent co-host on the Ricki Lake Show and as a celebrity panelist on the hit game show To Tell The Truth.

    Though he has gained fame primarily through his on-screen work, ANT's favorite way to perform is live. "I first decided to become a comedian when I saw Whoopi Goldberg's one-woman show on HBO," says ANT. After finding success in the comedy clubs of New England, the native from Londonderry, New Hampshire, decided to move to Los Angeles in 1989, hoping he would be noticed by the film and television industries. It didn't take long when appearances on the WB's Jamie Foxx Show and For Your Love, E!'s Talk Soup and in 1995, ANT starred as Barry Wallenstein on the hit WB series Unhappily Every After for four seasons.

    Elsewhere on the comedy front, ANT released his first comedy album for Comedy Central Records. The recording, which took place last fall at the famed Pasadena Ice House in Pasadena, CA, was released in December 2004, and was so successful it sold out its first week. He is also in talks for a book deal that will put him on the shelves later this year.

    In the feature world, ANT co-starred in Dirk Schaefer's critically acclaimed feature Circuit in 2001; he also appeared in the critically acclaimed Sundance feature film Twin Falls, Idaho.

    Entertainment Weekly proclaimed that ANT has become one of the most sought-after comics in Hollywood. He has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter's annual "Top Ten To Watch" special issue, Entertainment Tonight, Extra!, Genre Magazine, OUT and The Advocate.
