Pornhub Donates 50,000 Masks—and Free Porn—to NYC Workers

"It's important that we lend a hand and provide them with an enjoyable way to pass the time."

A porn streaming giant just put its money where its mouth is, making a generous donation to keep the Big Apple hard at work.

Pornhub has given 50,000 surgical-grade masks—and free subscriptions to its massive library of streaming adult video content—to New York City–area workers in response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the New York Post reported Tuesday. The donations come shortly after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's "critical need" call for "Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns, and masks—as well as ventilators."

Earlier this week, Gov. Cuomo ordered 100% of New York's workforce, excluding essential workers, to stay home and help slow the spread of the virus. As NewNowNext recently reported, the NYC Department of Health also unveiled a "Sex and Coronavirus" guide urging New Yorkers to "stay home and minimize contact with others."

Pornhub's 50,000 masks were distributed among essential workers, including doctors at Long Island’s Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital; paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and fire inspectors in NYC; and FDNY firefighters. The porn site also donated some 50,000 euros to relief efforts in European countries like Spain, Germany, and Italy, which have been hit especially hard by COVID-19, as well as $25,000 to Sex Workers Outreach Project, an advocacy group for sex workers' rights.

But wait, there's more! Pornhub has also opened up its premium library to porn lovers worldwide, entirely free of charge. (A subscription usually goes for $9.99 a month.)

“With nearly one billion people in lockdown across the world because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that we lend a hand and provide them with an enjoyable way to pass the time,” Pornhub vice president Corey Price said in a statement.

Who could argue with that?
