James Van Der Beek Explains The Gay Porn Airport Security Found In His Luggage
James Van Der Beek owns a hardcore gay porn parody of Dawson's Creek. It's called Dawson's Crack, and he thinks it's "amazing."
The former teen idol revealed as much during an interview with Access Hollywood Wednesday, reminiscing about that time TSA agents pulled a VHS copy of Dawson's Crack out of his luggage at the airport and set it on top of his luggage.
Somebody as a gag gift hadn’t gotten me a VHS – that’s how long ago it was – copy of Dawson’s Crack. Of course I loved it. With my sense of humor I thought, ‘This is amazing! I can’t wait to take this back to North Carolina and be like, ‘Guys, we’ve made it! It was right after September 11 when I was flying, so I get randomly flagged.
They start going through my bags and not only is it sitting right on top of my clothes, it’s not just a gay porn – it’s a gay porn based on a show that I was actually in.
The parody is apparently a hot item among the male Dawson's Creek cast. In 2011, Joshua Jackson told Chelsea Handler a similar story about how he obtained his first copy of Dawson's Crack:
"Way back in the day, in Dawson’s bedroom, he had this movie poster. I was driving through Boystown and there was this movie theater that had Dawson’s Crack in it, and you can imagine what that would be. It took me months to get this poster, but I finally got it, and in his bedroom, when he comes back to the next season of the show ... there’s two guys taking care of each other."
So, uh. Maybe you boys should get together and watch it?
