Bobby Lytes Is Not The "Typical Gay Guy" On "Love & Hip Hop Miami"

“I can rap. I got bars. I got talent. I got skills."

Love & Hip Hop Miami is the latest installment in the Love & Hip Hop franchise on VH1, and one of the cast members, Bobby Lytes, is here to change the perception that he can't make hip hop music because he's gay.

"A lot of people think I am the typical gay guy," said the Miami native in his new meet-the-cast video. "I grew up in some of the roughest parts of Miami. I had to find a type of therapy, and that was music for me. I came from nothing."

“I can rap. I got bars. I got talent. I got skills,” he added.

If you want to know more about Lytes, check out his new track where he raps about having no time for homophobic haters in Miami:

Plus, he loves Beyoncé and Taraji P. Henson ("Empire is everything to me!"), but you better think twice before asking him to watch the latest season of Game of Thrones with you, since he is not the biggest fan of the HBO fantasy series.

Are fans ready for the cast of Love & Hip Hop Miami?

"Miami culture has made an impact in hip hop period. We are about to elevate this whole entire game," promised Lytes.

We are going to hold you to that. Check out his interview below.

Love & Hip Hop Miami premieres January 1 at 9/8c on VH1.
