Britney Spears Will Debut New Single At Billboard Music Awards

The pop icon will perform a medley of hits before being honored with the Millennium Award.

Living legend Britney Spears will bless Earth with her hotly-anticipated new single "Make Me (Oooh)" when the Billboard Music Awards air live from Las Vegas later this month, so if you don't have a stockpile of heavy-duty wig glue we suggest you get some now because that wig is about to get SNATCHED.

Robin Leach, the Las Vegas Sun reporter with a reliable source in the pop icon's inner circle, announced the news on Twitter this morning:

The word "LIVE" here is especially exciting for fans, given the fact that Britney's last awards show performance with Iggy Azalea was pre-taped at a different venue.

USA Today adds the Queen, who boasts six albums that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart and a whopping 24 Top 40 singles, will also perform a "medley of her hits" before being honored with the Millennium Award, which recognizes "outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry."

"Make Me (Oooh)" will likely be the lead single off Britney's upcoming ninth studio album, dubbed #B9 by fans.

Three other song titles industry insiders claim will be on the album include "Invitation," "Just Like Me," and "Man On The Moon."

The Billboard Music Awards air live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 on ABC at 8/7c.
