Halsey Belts a Bisexual Anthem While Painting a Woman on “SNL”

Is this bi culture? Discuss.

Bisexual pop star Halsey painted a vivid picture for Saturday Night Live viewers—literally.

The "Bad at Love" singer, who did double duty as last weekend's host and musical guest on SNL, put a new spin on Benny Blanco's "Eastside." In the original track, Halsey (née Ashley Frangipane) supplies a second verse about a male lover. R&B artist Khalid guests on the original song, too.

But for her SNL performance, she sang "Eastside" in its entirety, taking on Blanco and Khalid's verses without swapping out the pronouns. And just like that, a new bisexual anthem was born.

Oh, did we mention she spent the duration of the performance painting a portrait of a woman? Totally upside down? We love an artsy bicon.

Halsey also took the stage for an emotional rendition of "Without Me," belting the breakup ballad in front of a wall that read, "I'm sorry, Ashley, I cheated." Yikes.

Watch Halsey perform "Eastside" below.

And check out the official music video for "Eastside," too, which includes subtitles about Halsey's real-life high school romance with another girl at summer camp. Now that's bi culture, confirmed.
