Move over Channing, Joe and the Matts -- there are some new strippers on the pole. Chocolate City, otherwise known as the black Magic Mike, is an urban stripper drama starring rapper-actor Romeo Miller (aka Lil' Romeo) and veteran megahunks Michael Jai White and Tyson Beckford.
According to Deadline, Romeo will play Devin, "a young college student who’s lured into the world of male exotic dancing to pay the bills." A tale as old as time. White will play the McCounagheyish role of club owner and Beckford as the Tatum-esque former star dancer who introduces Devin to the life of raining dollar bills.
The indie film, written and directed by Jean Claude LaMarre, will begin shooting in L.A. at the end of June. No word yet on who else will be part of the cast, but allow me to suggest a few.
In addition to Michael Jai White:
Tyson Beckford, being straddled by a "Toxic" Britney Spears (never forget):
And not-so-Lil' Romeo:
How about serial flasher Michael B. Jordan:
The Bloody good Mechad Brooks:
And perennially perfect male specimen, Shemar Moore:
Chocolate City. Population: everyone.
