“Will & Grace” Gays It Forward With Heartwarming Pride Tribute Video
Will & Grace has officially pulled out the gay card for Pride.
In honor of Pride month, NBC has released a heartfelt and funny mashup of moments from the iconic queer sitcom that show the characters expressing and embracing their gay identities.
The brief clip includes classic Will & Grace moments like Will coming out to Grace, Jack coming out to his mother, and Will kissing Jack on Today.
"Sophisticated urbanites—what a fun way to say gay," Will quips in one scene. "They probably wouldn’t ban it if it was called sophisticated urbanite marriage."
The mashup also includes moments from the hit revival, including Will's date with a younger guy (special guest star Ben Platt). “The minute we forget what we went through to get here is the minute it could all be taken away,” Will warns him.
Will & Grace, which ran on NBC for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006, returned to the network last year. The revival’s second season is set to premiere this fall, and a third has already been confirmed for fall 2019.
