The Most Sickening Looks From RuPaul's DragCon L.A. 2022
For the first time since January 2020, DragCon was finally back, back, back, back, again this past weekend!
From Friday through Sunday, more than 150 drag queens and an estimated 50,000 fans click-clacked through the Los Angeles Convention Center for a fierce weekend full of meet-and-greets, must-have merch, performances, a disco DJ set by RuPaul, a plethora of panels, and of course, sickening looks.
"Welcome to DragCon, everybody," RuPaul said at Friday's ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially kicking off the weekend festivities. "We are here again, the family is back together again and we are looking good too! This is really a labor of love for us. We have been gone for a few years now, but we are back, back, back, back, back again!"
World of Wonder co-founder Fenton Bailey spoke with NBC News about the return of an in-person DragCon: “The sense of coming back is really great. Everyone was just really excited to come back and be able to do it in person again," said Bailey. "So the energy has mainly been excitement and anticipation. And then of course, it’s always the variant dance, because you don’t quite know where it’s going to be at. But that aside, I think people were just ready to get back together in person."
Sounds like a weekend for the herstory books, but if you weren’t able to make it to DragCon L.A. this year, fear not, we have rounded up our favorite fierce lewks from the fabulous event below.
