"Drag Race" Star Robbie Turner Says She Survived A Devastating Car Crash
Former RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Robbie Turner shared on social media this week that she was in a serious car accident that left her Uber driver dead.
On Sunday, the Seattle performer tweeted she was riding home Saturday night when her Uber was hit by a drunk motorist. Her driver was reportedly killed and, according to Robbie, she lost consciousness. Neither the Seattle Police nor Uber has a record of the crash, and Turner, who's real name is Jeremy Baird, says the incident was a blur.
She says she was still unsure the next day exactly what happened, but that she was told her driver had died. "I’m home with barely a scratch, but when I was informed of what actually happened, my closest family and friends came to mind," Robbie tweeted. "Wear a seatbelt. I did."
"They ran tests at the hospital, but outside of my shoulder feeling jammed & my right eye hurting, I only have a bruise," Robbie said in another tweet. "Grateful."
Robbie added the accident made her think of loved ones, and all of the times she forgot to tell them she loved them.
