"True Blood" Star Rutina Wesley Just Came Out—And Got Engaged!
Rutina Wesley has played queer roles on True Blood and Queen Sugar, but it looks like she's coming out as not 100% heterosexual in real life, too.
She's posted a number of photos on Instagram getting comfy with Chef Shonda, a New Orleans-based culinary whiz.
This weekend Wesley shared a gallery that included poetry verses, photos of the two together, and what appears to be an engagement ring.
Wesley was previously married to actor Jacob Fishel, but the two divorced in 2013 after eight years.
For seven seasons on True Blood, Wesley played Tara, best friend to Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). In later seasons, Tara was transformed into a vampire and began a romantic relationship with fellow vampire bloodsucker (Kristin Bauer van Straten).
On OWN's Queen Sugar, Wesley plays Nova, a headstrong journalist. In the show's first season, Nova had a fling with another woman.
