Stefano Gabbana: "Don't Call Me Gay, Please—I'm A Man"

The designer caused a stir after posting a photo of Melania Trump.

Stefano Gabbana, half of the fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, is facing backlash once again for his latest string of controversial remarks.

It started when the designer received criticism on Instagram this week after posting a photo of Melania Trump wearing one of his dresses.

“Sad when a gay designer doesn’t care about other groups being repressed," wrote one angry follower.

Gabbana let his "ignorant critics" know he didn't appreciate the feedback by replying, “Don’t call me gay please!! Im a man!!! Who I love its my private life!!![sic]"

His implication that you can't be a man if you're gay is far from the first time that the Italian designer has come under fire for controversial comments on homosexuality.

Dolce and Gabbana came out against gay adoption back in 2015, saying that "the only family is the traditional one."

After facing threats of a boycott and receiving vocal backlash from stars like Madonna and Elton John, the duo eventually apologized, but it looks like their internalized homophobia has reared its ugly head once more.
