Carnival Cruise Lines Not Cool With Drag Queens In Drag

Carnival Cruise Lines is no doubt super thrilled about all the money they will be making on their upcoming "Drag Queens at Sea" cruise, but they just want to make sure the drag queens don't try to go act like they are actual people or anything. That would be TOTALLY unacceptable.

In a letter sent to guests on the upcoming trip, the cruise line wrote; "Arrangements have been made for drag performances in the main theater featuring  stars from LOGO TV. These functions will be private and only the performers  are permitted to dress in drag while in the theater. Guests are not allowed to  dress in drag for the performances or in public areas at any time during the  cruise."

To be very, very clear, LOGO TV had absolutely nothing to do with this decision or this letter or was even aware of its existence until alerted by someone attending the cruise.

Do they know who goes on these cruises? Because let us tell you, nothing makes some queens happier than seeing a performer they love while in drag. So that's a bit rude and ridiculous and kind of a major problem.

Oh wait, it gets worse.

"We’re sorry to say that any guest who violates our policies and/or whose  behavior affects the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, will be disembarked  at their own expense and no refund will be given."

So dress in drag and get the boot, and none of your money back.

The reason being given is that there will be children present, and families, and of course drag queens can't be anywhere near those two things as they are awful, awful people who do horrible, horrible things.

You can see the letter in full over on RuPaul's Drag Race Alaska's Facebook page.

We have reached out to Carnival for comment, but have yet to hear back.

Michelle Visage, who is going on the cruise, had this to say;

babies, of course i have gotten the same letter from Carnival as you have and quite honestly, i am shocked and disgusted. I don't really have the right words to express my disdain. I am just so saddened that in 2012 they feel the need to "protect the children". I own 2 of the said "children" and my kids love nothing more than to see a gaggle of drag queens kiki'ing and carrying on. SO much fun. At this point I am committed to this cruise and i will go and do my job. I intend on being in full drags many of the days and nights and just wait til the "children" getta load of my titties in broad daylight! I am looking forward to being with all of you in love and drag and NO ONE is gonna tell me that i can't wear what i want to wear. i will not wear a mask, those are the rules, FINE. other than that? FUCK YOU
