Sparks Fly in This Adorable 'Heartstopper' Deleted Scene

Season 2 can't come soon enough.

Coming back from the holiday break can be a slow start for people. Luckily for us, Netflix has released something to get our hearts pumping: A deleted scene from the first season of Heartstopper.

In the previously unreleased clip, features Elle Argent (Yasmin Finney) and Tao Xu (Will Gao) snuggling during a sleepover. After laughing at a video on Tao's phone, Elle says she misses him since Elle has recently switched schools. Tao says he misses her too and adds how "It’s just me and Isaac most lunchtimes now," now that Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) are spending more time together.

The tender and intimate moment ends with Tao saying "I don't want to be alone," and Elle hugging him tightly, assuring him he's not. Cue the flying sparks... literally.

Production on the second season of Heartstopper wrapped last month, but a release date has not been announced. The series recently won big at the first annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, where it walked away with five Emmys, the most of the night. The first season won Outstanding Young Teen Series, Outstanding Writing for Alice Oseman, Outstanding Casting for Daniel Edwards, Outstanding Guest Performance for Olivia Colman, and Outstanding Lead Performance for Kit Connor.

The adorable new scene is probably not enough to hold fans over until Season 2 premieres, but it's better than nothing. Check out the electric clip below.
