Courtney Act is becoming a staple on television.
Since her days competing on RuPaul's Drag Race, Courtney (real name: Shane Jenek) won Celebrity Big Brother UK, and has a "dragazine" talk show in the works. Now the Aussie drag superstar has announced another TV project: a reality series about the dating life of bisexuals called The Bi Life.
The ten-part series will air on E! in the UK and Ireland this October, and it will focus on a group of bisexual, pansexual, and sexually fluid single British people who are on the "ultimate adventure to find love."
“As if this summer hasn’t been hot enough, we decided to crank it up another notch with The Bi Life on E! It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today, like me, who are attracted to more than one gender,” tweeted Courtney.
“In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the love making, of young bi people is so important. So get ready to see the true stories of bisexual singles, who are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community, but the least known.”
The reality series will feature British contestants, but the show will be filmed in Barcelona.
“The Bi Life is a modern dating show for a modern generation of daters and E! is the perfect home for it,” said executive producer Ros Coward, adding that it is “long overdue."
There is no word yet on a premiere stateside.
