Archie's Gay Pal, Kevin Keller, Made Regular Cast Member On "Riverdale"
From his opening line in the series—"Archie got hot!"—Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) has been a fan favorite on The CW's Riverdale. Now it looks like he'll be slurping down more milkshakes at Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe because Cott has been upgraded to a series regular when the show returns for a second season.
Not only was Kevin central in the mystery of who killed Jason Blossom throughout the series' first season, he also had time to score a bad boy love interest, Joaquin, who left town in the season finale.
Now that Joaquin is gone who will be Kevin's new beau when the series returns? Maybe if Moose comes out of the closet they can finally make their relationship public—or he and Jughead would make a cute couple if Jughead ever breaks up with Betty.
In other Riverdale casting news, Mark Consuelos (Kelly Ripa's husband and executive producer of Logo's Fire Island) joins the show as Veronica's father.
Back in 2010 Kevin Keller became Archie Comics’ latest breakout star when his arrival in Veronica issue #202 became the only Archie comic in the company’s history to sell out. Since then he has gone on to headline his own mini-series and is currently starring in his own digital title, Life With Kevin, which explores Kevin’s post-Riverdale life as a journalist in New York.
Is it too early to be dreaming of a Kevin Keller spinoff?
