Alaska, Willam and Courtney Act Give Us "9 to 5" Realness
Alaska, Willam and Courtney Act have been on the road as the hot new music act, The AAA Girls. You would think that the three former Drag Race contestants would be an iconic enough trio for the masses of fans they are meeting on their tour, but the girls have also been dressing in drag as legendary ladies of cinema: the cast of 9 to 5.
Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin's looks from the classic 1980 film would be too much a challenge for any ordinary queen, but these professionals have their looks down.
Willam is perfect as Dolly, Alaska handles Lily while Courtney Act's Jane bears a striking resemblance to Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie.
The ladies even perform the classic Oscar-nominated "9 to 5" song in costume during their show:
Alaska, Willam and Courtney don't stop there with the pop culture costumes. On their tour they also dress as Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Courtney gives Derrick Barry a run for her money by slipping into Britney Spears' "Oops, I Did It Again" catsuit.
“A few years ago, Willam, Alaska, and I, recorded a song together and since then, the fandom would not let us quit," Courtney told Billboard, explaining how The AAA Girls came to be.
Their tour ended on October 14, but we are sure these queens will reunite for another gig soon—and in the meantime you can catch Alaska as a scream queen on VH1's Scared Famous.
Scared Famous premieres October 23 at 9/8c on VH1.
