Look for Laith Ashley In an Upcoming Taylor Swift "Midnights" Music Video

Swifties spotted the trans model and actor in the visual album teaser trailer.

Swifties are feeling fed — and tired — today.

As Taylor Swift fans stayed up past their bedtimes last night (Oct. 20) for the midnight drop of Midnights, Swift's 10th studio album, the "Mastermind" mastermind had some surprises up her cardigan sleeves.

Not only did Swift release Midnights, she also surprise-dropped a 3 a.m. version with an additional seven tracks. As if that wasn't enough, earlier in the evening, during Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video, she announced that Midnights was actually a visual album, and there would be a music video for each of the 13 tracks in the collection. The first video, "Anti-Hero" would premiere the following morning (Fri, Oct. 21).

The teaser trailer previews colorful clips from the various videos, including a short glimpse of Swift lying in bed with a shirtless hunk. According to the credits, the videos will feature cameos from celebs like Laura Dern, John Early, the Haim sisters, and Laith Ashley, who plays Swift's mysterious bedmate.

The trans model, singer, activist, and "noted snack" posted the trailer to his Instagram Story, calling the "August" songstress "magic" and thanking her for letting him "play a small part" in her story. Ashley also reposted fans who posted the video with "Team #lailor."

Digital content creator Alex Goldschmidt — whose engagement party was crashed by Swift herself — tweeted how Ashley playing Swift's love interest "is so beautiful and important," and we couldn't agree more.

While we don't know which video Ashley will appear in, we're sure the Swiftie sleuths will figure it out soon enough. Until then, stream Midnights.
