Ding dong, Las Culturistas calling!
I don't think so, honey, it's Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, the dynamic duo from the hit podcast, Las Culturistas, where every week the two sit down with a special guest and discuss everything from the news to the latest pop culture happenings.
And outside of their podcast, the two have had a very busy year.
In 2019, Yang made Saturday Night Live history as the first Chinese-American performer on the sketch comedy series, and he’s only the third openly gay male cast member after Terry Sweeney and John Milhiser. Rogers brought his live Gayme Show to Quibi when the streaming service launched earlier this year, and he can be seen on the upcoming third season of Search Party on HBO Max.
When asked what spirit the LGBTQ community should take moving forward for the future of Pride, Rogers says that the spirit is one of "inclusivity, fun, open-mindedness, and the horniness." While Yang echoed Rogers' wish for inclusivity being brought into the future of Pride, he would also like to see Rockabilly haircuts. "They were really big in 1970, and I think they can make a comeback," he jokes.
After months of salons being closed, he may get his wish.
