Will & Grace had a lot of celebrity guest stars over the years, but one of the earliest still ranks among the best: Cher.
She appeared twice on the show, but could the Dark Lady be returning for another run-in with Jack?
In the latest installment of the "Will & Grace After Party" on YouTube, series co-creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan took questions from fans on Twitter and one viewer wanted to know who they thought was the most memorable guest star from the original run.
"The first huge one, Cher," Kohan answered.
"She showed up, she yelled at me, she rewrote the script," Mutchnick recalled about her first appearance on the series, when Jack mistook her for a drag queen.
"We let her go through with her words, and it didn't go over so big..." he revealed.
Mutchnick also added how he heard later that while in Sean Hayes' dressing room Cher told the actor she didn't like Mutchnick because she has "an aversion to small dictatorial gay Jewish men."
"But I still love her. It's in my DNA, I have to."
Later in the question session the creators were asked if they can spill any details about the upcoming holiday episode, and Kohan dropped a hint about what viewers can expect.
"We actually just saw the run through of that episode. We, who are inclined to be very critical of the work, thoroughly enjoyed it. It really is a fun one."
He then decides to give another clue about the special episode: "We just talked about Cher. That's all I'm going to say."
What do you think that means? Will the "Believe" belter be the special guest star for the holiday extravaganza? Or will Jack just be throwing a Cher-themed Christmas party as he impatiently awaits her cameo in Mamma Mia 2?
Guess we will have to tune into the Will & Grace holiday episode on Tuesday, December 5 to find out.
