The coronavirus is ancient history on planet Chromatica.
We're months into the COVID-19 pandemic. By now, we all know that social distancing and wearing a facial covering in public are two of the most effective ways to prevent transmitting the virus. But Mother Monster wants to help us mask up in style.
Eagle-eyed Lady Gaga stans may have clocked some recent additions to her merch store: namely, Chromatica-themed bar soap and cloth face masks. You know, to match your Chromatica jockstrap. A Gaga-approved bar of soap or face mask will set you back $15 each, but hey, that's a small price to pay to keep yourself and others safe.
Gaga has always preached a gospel of respect for others, and her commitment to spreading
stupid love hasn't wavered amid the coronavirus crisis. At last night's 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, the "Free Woman" singer wore a number of glamorous face masks to keep herself and others COVID-19-free. She even used her acceptance speech for the VMAs' first ever Tricon Award to impress the importance of masking up as the pandemic stretches on.
"I might sound like a broken record, but wear a mask," Gaga said. "It's a sign of respect. Thank you."
Check out all of Gaga's new merch here, and revisit her and Ariana Grande's iconic rendition of "Rain On Me" from the VMAs in the video below. And remember, if these divas can do that while wearing face masks, you can wear one to the grocery store.
