It was previously announced that the upcoming sixth season of the Emmy-nominated series will be its last, and now we have a premiere date for the final set of episodes. The 14-episode final season of Schitt's Creek will premiere Tuesday, January 7, at 9/8c on Pop TV.

The news comes just days before the series has the chance to take home some Emmys on Sunday, September 22. Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara are both nominated, respectively, for Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, while the show is also nominated for Best Comedy Series.

Schitt’s Creek has become a pop culture phenomenon fueled by the most talented cast and the most passionate fans in all of television, and the final season is sure to be weekly must-watch TV as we see what happens to the Roses,” Brad Schwartz, President of Pop TV, said in a statement. “It is gut-wrenching to say goodbye, but we know this final season will deliver even more of the heart and humor that has made the series one of the best ever.”

The fifth season of Schitt’s Creek will drop Thursday, October 10, on Netflix, where the show's popularity surged after the first four seasons were added to the streaming service. The series has not only been heralded for being hilarious, but also for its positive portrayal of LGBTQ life, with out actor Dan Levy playing pansexual character David, who is in a relationship with Patrick (Noah Reid).
