Field's dream came true when her son, Sam Greisman, finally met his Winter Olympics crush, Adam Rippon, when he was presented with the Visibility Award at the Human Rights Campaign gala in L.A. this past weekend.

Greisman tweeted a photo of him and Rippon at the ceremony with the caption: "Thanks, mom."

Greisman's crush on Rippon went viral during the Winter Olympics when he tweeted a text conversation between him and his mother:

“Just some really helpful advice from my mom on how to deal with my Olympic crush,” Greisman tweeted.

“Sam… He’s insanely pretty. Find a way,” wrote Field.

Then the Steel Magnolias star took matters into her own hands. Field retweeted Greisman’s tweet of their conversation, tagging the fierce figure skater.

Field's persistence paid off, but will the two start dating? We think Rippon might be too busy being America's newest sweeetheart right now, but never doubt the power of Sally Field.
