Macy Rodman is on fire. The comedian, podcaster, and recording artist is a mainstay in the Brooklyn drag and nightlife scene, where she can often be found hosting shows or performing original music.

Rodman released her second studio album, Unbelievable Animals, in 2021 to widespread praise. Come 2022, she unveiled Uncontrollable Flammables, a companion album of remixes and B-sides. The former was the genesis for her very meta cabaret show, which she performed in March at C’mon Everybody in Bed-Stuy.

Her eclectic sound — a mash-up of pop, alt-rock, and experimental influences — reflects her range as a creative. Since moving to New York City from her hometown in Alaska over a decade ago, Rodman has slowly but surely carved out a niche for herself as a live performer and multidisciplinary artist, all while staying true to her distinctive comedic voice and perspective as a trans woman.

“Something that I've done that I am truly proud of is honestly just, like, sticking around and doing the same kind of thing that I've been doing for 10 years instead of changing it too drastically,” she tells Logo. “Trusting myself enough to wait until I have an audience that gets it — that's been really rewarding.”

You don’t have to ask us twice, Macy — we love you! Learn more about Rodman and the rest of our 2022 Logo30 honorees in the video below.
