Anderson Cooper Interviews Las Vegas Shooting Survivor Who Lost His Boyfriend In The Attack

"I just wanted to make sure that he knew that he wasn’t alone in those moments."

A gay couple from Utah was among the victims of the Las Vegas massacre earlier this week and one of the young men ultimately died in the tragedy.

Anderson Cooper has now interviewed Bobby Eardley, a victim who survived after taking shrapnel in his back during the attack, but whose boyfriend, 28-year-old Cameron Robinson, tragically lost his life.

"I just can not say enough amazing things about that man," Eardley said while struggling to hold back tears. "He’s such an example to everyone he came into contact with in his life."

Eardley told Cooper during the CNN interview that Robinson had helped him come out to his whole family and was great with his three children from a previous relationship. He then gave a few details about the heartbreaking moments right after the attack.

"I just wanted to make sure that he knew that he wasn’t alone in those moments and I held him and talked to him the whole time," he said. "I know he wasn’t the only victim and I know that so many other people are going through exactly what I’m going through, and my heart goes out to every single one of them."

A GoFundMe page was set up to help pay for funeral and medical expenses and has already raised $26,493 in just three days. Click here to visit the page and read a heartfelt tribute to Robinson.
