[caption id="attachment_70796" align="aligncenter" width="607"] Where will be the world's next Absolut Vodka City?[/caption]
A holiday that's probably not pre-marked in your smart phone device, but that probably should be, is on October 4th—National Vodka Day! That's right: we're just one week away. There are more than a few ways to celebrate this deeply important holiday, like, reading Chelsea Handler's "Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea," donating bottle of vodka to your local homeless shelter (or drag queen, gurl….), or just hanging out with your friends and drinking the stuff till your face feels numb (and not driving, repeat, not driving after). Or, our suggestion, participating in the contest to crown the newest city in the Absolut Cities series of vodkas. If you're over 21, then you can make a suggestion by clicking here. To spark your creative juices, we've a few suggestions….

So the Mormons don't like the gays…but the University of Utah was recently listed as one of the top 25 most gay friendly campuses in the US. Maybe some Vodka to bring everyone together?

Aside from being the country of origin for Absolut, Traveler's Digest named it the number one city for sexy men in the world.
5—Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Having an Absolut flavor named Riyadh may be one way to help end the current prohibition on alcohol over in Saudi Arabia.
6—Yakutsk, Russia

Since vodka is best served chilled, why not name a flavor after the coldest city on Earth?
7—Milwaukee, Wisconson
