Beloved actor Sir Patrick Stewart got up in full drag to promote his new US sitcom Blunt Talk.

Before heading out for a Hollywood event Monday night to talk about the show, which follows the antics of a British ex-pat starring in an American nightly news program, the 75-year-old Stewart took to Twitter with an image that sent fans into an absolute tizzy.

The photo showed Stewart donning flowing white-blonde locks, a lovely pink satin frock and eyebrows painted for the gods in a dramatic shade of purple.

Twitter appropriately exploded, with fans gushing about Stewart's new look:

With some even comparing his femme visage to none other than Dame Helen Mirren:

Regardless of who exactly he looked like, Stewart looked positively fierce.
