Mariah Carey Joins The Cast Of "LEGO Batman"
What a year it's been for Mariah Carey.
Besides making Frito's relevant again with the release of her single, Infinity, she slayed a dragon in that now iconic Game of War advertisement. Though she's in it for all of three seconds, she was nothing less than memorable.
The songbird supreme also announced her foray into the world of filmmaking. Her directorial debut, A Christmas Melody, will premiere on the Hallmark Channel in December and star Gretchen Wieners herself, Lacey Chabert.
If all of that wasn't enough, then you'll be pleased to hear that Carey in talks to star in the developing animated LEGO Batman film as the voice of The Mayor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will be joined by Rosario Dawson, Zach Galafianakis, Michael Cera and Will Arnett.
The LEGO version of Bruce Wayne's story will be predictably more light and fun than the Christopher Nolan versions. In all of the versions thus far, however, The Mayor has always been a supporting character. Let's just hope they find a way to make use of Mariah's signature diva personality, and throw in some "dahlings" for kicks.
Queen of singing, queen of Christmas and now queen of Legos? When will your faves?
