All The Winners At The 2018 Golden Globes

The 75th annual ceremony balanced glamour and activism.

Sunday night at the 75th annual Golden Globes, viewers were as anxious to see what the stars would say as they were to find out whose names were written on the envelopes.

The first major awards show since the explosion of sexual-harassment claims rocked Hollywood this fall, the Globes was primed to be more political than ever, with many women wearing black as a nod to the #MeToo and #WhyWeWearBlack social media campaigns.

"It's time to celebrate each other," Rosario Dawson said in a video, "Not just the nominees on our film and television screens but our storytellers who have bravely come forward and courageously shared their stories and liberated so many of us, too."

In a sign of solidarity many stars also walked the red carpet with activists, including #MeToo creator Tarana Burke and worker's rights activist Ai-jen Poo (below, with Meryl Streep).

But, as they say, the show must go on: Inside the Beverly Hilton, the show balanced political awareness and a sense of resistance, with humor, and, yes, a little bit of self-congratulation. (This is Hollywood, after all.)

Early winners included The Handmaid's Tale, which earned awards for Best TV Drama and for star Elizabeth Moss. "This is for Margaret Atwood," said Moss, holding the award, "and all the women who came before and after you who were bold enough to come forward. We are no longer the stories in the margins. We are the stories in print."
