Rachel Maddow Issuing a "Haircut Warning" Is All of Us

It's gonna be a long, hairy quarantine.

Quarantine is tough—just ask Rachel Maddow.

On Thursday night, the MSNBC host took to Twitter to issue a "haircut warning." Under normal circumstances, the out politico trimming her hair wouldn't be cause for concern, but with the coronavirus pandemic continuing to worsen, these are not normal times.

As NewNowNext reported last month, the governors of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania announced that nail salons, tattoo parlors, and hair studios in all four states were being ordered to close due to COVID-19. Strict orders are now in place for three out of every four Americans to social distance or self-quarantine—and getting a haircut isn't exactly conducive to minimizing physical contact with others.

Maddow isn't the only out celeb to muse on at-home haircuts on social media. In response to her tweet, famed singer k.d. lang replied, "Do-it-yourself haircut?"

Scarlet Envy of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 11 fame also asked her followers, "Quarantine haircut, y or n ?"

Meanwhile, Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness—an actual hair stylist, mind you—shared an anti-at-home cut mantra for us all to repeat and avoid temptation:

What say you—will you be taking matters into your own hands and giving yourself a DIY trim, or is it finally time to grow out those luscious locks? Let us know below. We won't judge.
