Watch What Happens When Lesbians And Gays Have To Take Care Of A Robo-Baby
For gay people deciding whether or not they want to have a child, wouldn't it be helpful to have a trial baby for a weekend to see if you can handle the heavy lifting that comes with being a parent?
Buzzfeed paired up two gay friends, Kevin and Jameson, and two lesbian friends, Niki and Jen, and gave them robot babies for a weekend to let them experience the joys — and pains — of parenthood.
But to make things more interesting, they made it a competition to see which "couple" would come out on top.
The robo-babies record data based on how they are cared for, and a report is generated at the end of the weekend that measures how often the child was mishandled.
From a screaming baby in a drive-through, to being forced to change a diaper in the middle of Target, the four friends had to deal with a lot of harrowing first-time experiences with their fake children.
While the ladies were ready for the experiment to be over, the guys actually fell in love with their robo-baby and weren't ready to give it up.
A sweet sentiment, but did their extra love help land them a higher score?
Watch the experiment below to find out.
