Billy Porter Gonna Get That Golden Globe

"Pose" received some love at today's nominations announcement.

Category is: Golden Globe realness!

The nominations for the 77th annual Golden Globes were announced this morning, and while Marriage Story and The Crown led the pack with the most nominations, there was some LGBTQ representation—including a nod for Best Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series for Billy Porter, who plays Pray Tell on FX's Pose.

This isn't Porter's first Golden Globes nom; he was nominated for the same award last year but lost out to Bodyguard's Richard Madden. He was, however, declared the winner of the Golden Globes after-parties for his fierce looks.

Porter did snatch a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series earlier this year, making history as the first openly gay black man to win in the category.

Other notable queer and queer-interest nominees for the 2020 Golden Globes include Ben Platt for The Politician, Taron Egerton for Rocketman, and Jodie Comer for Killing Eve.

And—*checks notes*—Taylor Swift's original song "Beautiful Ghosts" for Cats? That's the Hollywood Foreign Press for ya! Always keepin' us on our toes... or should we say paws?

Tune in January 5, 2020, for the 77th annual Golden Globes with host Ricky Gervais. Until then, check out the full list of nominees here.
