While in New York this past weekend for New York Comic Con, TMZ caught up with Cassandra Peterson (a.k.a. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark) and asked her about Madonna seemingly coming out as gay on TikTok.

Peterson hadn't heard the Madonna news, but the reveal didn't seem to surprise the horror movie hostess:

"I can tell you something interesting. Madonna hit on my girlfriend! She wanted to hire her as a trainer but it was obvious she wanted more than training," Peterson said in the TMZ video, referring to her partner, Teresa "T" Wierson, whom she first met at a gym. 

"I will just say that it was a long time ago. I think Madonna has always said she's pretty fluid, kissing Britney Spears... so I think Madonna is 'anything goes,'" she continued.

The 71-year-old Elvira actress knows what she's talking about when it comes to coming out later in life.

As Logo previously reported, Peterson made headlines last year when she came out of the coffin in her memoir, Yours Cruelly, Elvira. In the book, she dropped a major bombshell about her personal life: She has been in a relationship with a woman for the past 20 years.

"I pretty much told about my entire life, but a lot of things that fans over the years do not know about me. So I exposed a lot of secrets, the biggest one probably being that I have a female partner of 20 years. That was kind of a shock and revelation to a lot of people," Peterson said in her Logo30 video this past Pride Month.

When asked by TMZ for advice to those who are coming out later in life, Peterson said to "wait until it's comfortable for you."

"Don't feel pressure to do it. It's good to come out, and I think you'll feel better if you do, but it's not always the right time for everybody to do it," she told TMZ. "I guarantee one thing when you do you're going to feel so much better, it's like a giant weight lifted off your chest."
